Brigadoon Farms Retreat and Conference Center is a combination of recreational and outdoor centered activities and meeting facilities. This small conference center was started as a retreat headquarters for youth groups, which still hosts many church activities. However, many business groups, individuals, and families now use the facilities for meetings, parties, picnics, special events, or just simple relaxation and enjoyment.
We are a family owned and operated farm with 120 acres of rolling hills, surrounded by cedar tree lined fences and woods. Mike and Martha Foster first opened the farm to the public in 1996. Their oldest son, Robert, and his wife Heather came into the business in 2005. Their second son, David, came into the business in 2006. Each year improvements are made to make Cedar Hill Farm one of the top Agri-Tourism business in the Mid-South. We offer a relaxing and fun filled day on the farm for groups of all sizes. You can bring your family down to escape the hustle of the city and enjoy the peace and quiet of country life. Schools can take a field trip that will educate children on agriculture, and at the same time give them a chance to play on a farm and make memories that will last a lifetinme. Companies can have a customized company picnic, with a wide range of activities and great food made right here in our Country Kitchen. Take a tractor drawn hayride around our farm, out to the Easter Egg Field in the Spring and the Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maize in the Fall. The kids can pet the animals in our petting zoo, ride a pony, and play on our play areas. Catch a trophy Bass in our private pond or divide up into teams to play volleyball, horseshoes or even paintball. Enjoy our beautiful picnic areas, pavilion, nice restroom facilities and indoor Country Kitchen and Country Store. Open to the public seasonally and open by reservation for private parties, corporate events, family reunions and weddings year around. Every seson brings something new to the farm.
Our Countrty Kitchen Restaurant is now open to the public year around on Friday and Saturday nights from 5:00 - 9:00pm, closed only when it is rented out for Private Events. Our restaurant is also open to the public other hours seasonally, such as for lunch during our Annual Easter Egg Hunts, Pumpkin Patch and Choose & Cut Christmas Tree Hours.

The DeSoto Civic Center is a multi-facet facility capable of hosting a wide variety of events. The convention hall is host to corporate banquets, wedding rehearsals, wedding receptions, and other functions such as Christmas parties, and high school reunions to name a few. Our convention hall allows us to cater to both small and large functions, and to consistently maintain a professional and comfort level for all.

Hope Chapel is a lovely venue for a wedding, located on the property of Palmer Home for Children, Hernando, MS. The Chapel seats 140, and includes men’s and ladies restrooms, bridal room with private restroom, a Baby Grand piano and sound system . There is no room for a reception in the chapel, but there is room to place a tent on the grounds.
Rental fee is $1,000 ($500 non-refundable deposit due two weeks prior to event, $500 balance due one week prior to event). Hope Chapel is located at 800 Baldwin Road South, Lake Cormorant, MS (about 8 miles west of Hernando, MS).
